ABOUT

The Port Meadville Airport (KGKJ) is an economic gateway to the Greater Crawford County Region.  Located on 250 acres in Vernon Township, it serves as a hub in the center of the county.  With quick access to Interstate 79, Highway 19, and Highway 322 nothing is out of reach for airport patrons.  

The runway is 5001' x 75' and can handle most corporate aircraft.

Oriented runways 7 and 25, gives the airport an East/West direction, providing headwinds on most days. 

Runway 25 has a Localizer and GPS approaches which allows access in adverse weather conditions. 

Runway 7 has VOR and GPS approaches as well.

The airport is home to 4 Corporate Flight Departments, STAT Medivac Helicopter service, All Points Aviation Maintenance, 4 flying clubs, one flight school, and EAA Chapter 1194. 

Past & Future Plans

The Crawford County Regional Airport Authority in constant coordination with the Pennsylvania Bureau or Aviation, is always attempting to improve the conditions at Port Meadville Airport.  The following items are on our 12 year plan to improve: 

Fuel Farm Rehab - 2018 - COMPLETE!

Obstruction Removal - On Going

Taxiway Light Rehab - 2018 - COMPLETE!

Runway Surface Rehab - 2019 - COMPLETE!

Pilot Controlled Lighting Radio Replacement - InProcess!

New Hangers - 2024

Taxiway Rehab - 2021 - Started

ABOUT

The airport is Managed day to day by Rob Golenberke who has several decades of public service in the USAF and Law Enforcement and Airport Management under his belt.  

Since the airport is owned by the taxpayers of Crawford County, PA, it is governed by a board of directors:
